Spanish Lessons for All Children in the Preschool Program
• Our Spanish teacher brings a fun interactive Spanish lesson to every classroom once per week.
• The children love to learn Spanish through songs, stories, games, and active learning.
• NO EXTRA FEES for the once per week Spanish lessons.
• We are seeking to build multi-cultural awareness and vocabulary growth as we enrich the
children's learning environment.
• Exposure to a foreign language at a young age supports brain development and cognitive growth.
It helps children acquire greater proficiency in later years. It's fun!
English-Spanish Pre-Kindergarten Class
An interactive English-Spanish kindergarten readiness learning environment.
Excelsior Covenant Preschool offers an English-Spanish class in response to the growing interest in Spanish
language learning in our community. Our lead teacher is experienced and skilled at creating exciting English
curriculum for 4 year old pre-kindergarten children. She has a minor in Spanish as well as a teaching degree. Our
assistant teacher is our preschool Spanish teacher and is an experienced early childhood teacher. She was born in
Venezuela and spent the first 12 years of her life in South America. She has native-like fluency and will speak and
interact with the children in Spanish. Together they have over a decade of experience teaching early childhood
curriculum, and together they have created an interactive English-Spanish kindergarten readiness learning
environment that invites children to grow. This class has a staff to student ratio of 1:6.
